The Challenge

Sonos is an extremely successful product in the wireless music marketplace. Move was brought in to help Sonos Australia build brand equity and awareness in Australian the marketplace amongst consumers and position the brand as the best, high-quality, and high value music system for your home. A key marketing challenge worldwide, was positioning the brand as an affordable consumer product rather than a specialist high value item only meant for a select few.

To achieve this, it was imperative the corporate website worked more effectively to educate and drive quality traffic into retail stores. It was also important all digital/social communications in general were used to build awareness, community and relationship in a more targeted way.

The Solution

Move developed a marketing strategy and plan and implemented of a number of marketing initiatives surrounding the launch of the new Sonos brand in Australia and product launch of the Play:3 specifically. Key activities included: Develop the company’s first Marketing Strategy and Plan, pioneering a new PR Program which generated hundreds of pieces of coverage, re-branding the website www.sonos.com.au, project managing the development a Marketing microsite for Sonos dealers, implementing a new CRM system and significantly enhancing Sonos’ social media presence.
